Alabama head coach Nick Saban has shown a different side of himself during the 2023 college football season, and quarterback Jalen Milroe believes it has played a significant role in the team's success.
Despite not displaying their usual dominance, the Crimson Tide have only suffered one loss this season and continue to rack up victories, positioning themselves as strong contenders for the College Football Playoff. Among the one-loss teams in the sport, Saban's squad cannot be overlooked.
After seeking revenge against Tennessee over the weekend, Milroe spoke about the transformation he has witnessed in Saban this year and how it has positively influenced the Crimson Tide.
"With all the team meetings he had, one-on-ones he had with players, he has great confidence in all of us. Also, what he does well is he gets everybody on the same page as far as his messages. And then motivating everybody to acknowledge that we have short-term goals and long-term goals we all want to accomplish here."
Milroe continued to express his admiration for Saban, stating, “I think he’s doing a great job and just how great coach is, he touches each of the players he has on the team.”
What sets Nick Saban apart and has allowed him to maintain his position at the top of the college football world for so long is his ability to adapt and evolve. This season, he has once again demonstrated his capacity for change, which has undoubtedly contributed to Alabama's success in 2023.
